Have to minimise the game to talk on vista Home

I have 3 guys running vista home edition on my server who have to minimise the game in order to talk. They can hear us fine but can't talk. I have read on another thread that they need to be admin?. I cannot do that cause otherwise the server will be unsafe.Is there a patch or a solution for this ?

Stupid thing to say that the computer will be unsafe if you ran TS client in admin mode. Right click on the TS client executable and choose run as admin. It does not poss as a security risk as it just allow TS to let the push to talk that you use to work when you are working with other apps.

You can use voice activation, but if not set right you will aggravate you teammates a lot.

I meant that it is unsafe to put regular ppl as admins on the TS Server. I will tell them to try the admin in the vista and see what happens.

That is what the other thread is talking about. You have to run the client as an admin, not be an admin for the ts server.

Can anyone confirm if they've found a fix for this. Im having the same problem with BF2 and vista business pro. I can't use push to talk (middle mouse button) in game. I have to minimize. I am the admin of the ts server. Middle mouse button works fine for me in BF2142 and Company of heroes.

Yes. I can confirm as there have been close if not over a 100 people that running as admin fix their problem.
