I've read other posts on here about similar issues and have tried all the suggestions. So here are my specs and what I've tried:

Sound Card - High Definition Audio Device (sorry, that's all it says)
MS Vista 32 bit

What I've tried:

Under Settings>Options, I have with Wave selected, under Input, Microphone and Line In. With Direct Sound, I have Primary Sound Capture Device, Microphone, and Line In. Have tried both Wave and Direct Sound with all the different Input Devices.

I have also changed the executables for TeamSpeak 2 and BF2 to run in compatibility WinXP SP2 and set all of them as Run as Administrator.

In BF2, I have disabled VOIP and EAX to see of that worked, no avail.

Microphone works great when not in game, but in game there is no input and the light does not function.

Thanks for any help.

I have had the same problem but have not quite worked out the bugs.

I am running vista 32 bit with a creative SB X-FI

When I first got my SB X-FI about 6 months ago I was able to download drivers from the Creative website and was not able to use TS and play BF2 at the same time. My friend just got the same sound card and his came with two disks (one for XP and one for vista). Now the creative website does not have the drivers available online anymore. You need to run the disks. So he made me a copy of the vista disk and I un-installed the sound drivers and re-installed with the disk. After that TS and BF2 did work but our BF2 server comm did not work. We reset the BF2 server and then TS did not work again but in game comm did so I am back to the beginning. I have a feeling it is a vista problem running two different comm at the same time. It looks like creative is on the ball and trying to work it out. There is also an "update" site I can go to from the creative vista disk that I have not tried yet but that may just get everything to work right.

As soon as I get time to check it out and do some more tweeking I will post another message on how I got it to work......if I ever do!!! lol

Which edition sound card do you have? I just updated my SB XFI card for vista 32 bit.

http://images.americas.creative.com/images/support/exclamation-green.gif You have selected Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum and Windows Vista 32-bit.

That was today.

I just checked and I have fatality pro with driver version 2.15.6

I looked for the platnium upgrade but didnt find it. Had a few too many beers so that may be the problem lol

Have yet to try it but I did find some cool updates for my cam!!

I'll be back to check in with findings or some support.

Thanks! Peace!
