View Full Version : Allowing others to access administration page??
Hello, I currently run a server for a few of my friends who game using the Team Speak 2 Client. How ever I am not always there to maintenance it for them and I would like them to have access to the administrator web page, how do I do so?

when I 1s set my server up, i had the same question! What you do is have them type in the LAN IP of the server, (which you have to give them ) in their browser. if your LAN IP was 295.146.2.124, they would have to type in : http://295.146.2.124:14534/ if they were going to access admin panel.
BUT if u have a static IP, itll change slightly. I have a router, so about every week, my IP changes and i have to reopen the ports. This is the same way, now they'll have to type http://295.146.2.125:14534/ if the last #changed to 5. hope this helps :)

Brennan you got some things confused..
A static IP will never change. It isnt called a static IP for no reason.
A dynamic IP will change once in a while, this depends on the ISP.
If you have a Dynamic IP adress the best thing you can do is to look at a Dynamic DNS.. Most present routers support this function and it will send a signal to "DynDNS" ( for example ) with the current WAN IP.
The only thing you have to give out is the url created by DynDNS.
