i bought a laptop, connected it to the internet, installed teamspeak 2.0.32.60 on it and tried to connect to a server(port 1001), but it showed an error:

No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

i know there is no problem with the server, other people can connect to it. I already searched for the problem, but I didnt find a solution yet, i cant connect to other servers either and i cant download the web server list. I also shut down the windows firewall, no success. as far as i know, there is no other program like antivirus software running. On the other side, programms like skype work without any problems.
pls help me

I downloaded TS2 two days ago and tried to get on my friend's server and when I tried I got the No Reply from server message. Now I know the server was running because my friends were on it when I was attempting to get on. The next day I attempted to get on to the same server without changing anything and it connected without a problem. This puzzles me because I didn't change a thing and my family doesn't know anything about how to configure or do anything with a router, just me. Now today after I woke up I tried to get onto the server and i got the No Reply from Server message. Each time I logged into or attempted to log into the server my friends were in it so I know it is online. I have no firewalls on my computer, I set my computer in a dmz for my router, and i highly doubt that my isp decided to block the port one day then not block it the next and then block it again. On top of this port 8767 was open on my router. There is no excuse for it not working but somehow it doesn't. Ventrilo works though but i don't need Ventrilo to work I need TS2 to work. I hope I can get some help on this.

Hi pips,

Got the same trouble today i can't connect to any TS server...

I reboot, my pc and my internet connection, i uninstalled Teamspeak twice (full uninstallation), tried to run Ts as Adminstration (im vista user) just in case but still not working. I know the servers i tried to reach are up, because my friends are on.

Can you help us ? someone ?

P.S: Sorry for my english but its not my first language, so i try to do my best.

try dmz your router to your pc
try without a router
try with another router

I have the same problem and i could get it to work with some unknown neighbor router but not with mine

try port trigger
triggered port = 8767
forward port = from 1024 to 65535
at least i dont have to dmz and i think it only opens the 8767 ports on my router

maybe the probem has nothing to do with teamspeak, some other programs dont get internet connection either... I already tried it with another internet network, the problem remains.
