ok so heres the thing i have a pc and laptop before i got the laptop i installed Ts on the PC and then i got the laptop and did the same on there
one day i tried to connect to TS with my pc not sign in or anything and i could not get one .. so i troubleshoot a little bit and then i turn on the server on , on the pc and the i was able to connect and so were my two friends .. now my question is how do i get it so that i connect with out having to turn on the server client on , on my pc or is it one of thoses things where if im not on ( because i guess im the host ) then no one else is getting on ... thanks for the imput and please try to speak in simple term i am some what computer smart , i am a IT agent and know how to get around a computer but for example : modifing the registry its all greek to me

I think the server runs on your computer, so if the computer is not on, where should the server run instead?

Of course, nobody will be able to connect if the server/computer doesn't run.

hehe sorry about that lol .

i another thing i forgot to mention i also downloaded the client on my laptop and i noticed it picked up the same server ip that is on my PC both external and internal . so since i have the client on the laptop which is picking up the same ip addy for the server it should work right ?

I don't know if I understand you right, but the client, which wants to connect to the server, does not need to have the same ip as the server.

ok im sorry ive done it agian i miss typed something what i meant was i ve download the TS SERVER on to laptop

ive downloaded the TS SERVER on the laptop thinking it would fix the issue
because all i wanted to do is not have to turn on the TS SERVER on the pc in order to connect to TS on the laptop not to mention my Guild having to wait for me to connect in order to talk to each other


i hope that a little more understandable :P
