Please help me!

I have 2 computers networked on a on a DSL line, (they both have different IP addresses) I have the server on one computer and when I connect to my IP address with my second computer I connect just fine, however when others try to connect to it, they get the message "No computer on the other end."

Im not sure how to fix this? Is it something to do with my port?? if so how do I go about fixing this?

Please help me!

Are you connected to the internet over an router?

Then you must set the IP of the Computer with the TS server as Default Server

(this way all traffic will be send to that computer)

If that doesn't help you will need to explain in more details how you connect to the internet..

Are these using the RFC 1597 address space? (192.168.x.x, 172.16-31.x.x or 10.x.x.x)

Do you have a router between your 2 computers and the Internet (even if one is built into your hub - like a Linksys or DLink)?

Can the other client ping the IP address of your computer? Tracert? If so, they might be behind a firewall...

What OS are you running on your server? The client that works? The client that doesn't work?

Similar issue for me but this is dead weird.

I can get the server running fine, port forward no problem. One of my friends can connect in and it runs for hours (he is not behind a router). If one any of my friends who ARE behind a router connect they stay connected for about 30 - 50 seconds and then they get kicked from the server. If they try to reconnect after this they get the standar "Server may not be running" message. Now on several occasions it has also knackered my net connection through the router and I have had to reset the router after this has happened.

I've tried the boundtoip command but then I can't run admin on the server (although I guess that isn't so important) and so far that hasn't made a difference. Now if I pull the plug on the router and restart it I'm back to square one and my friends can connect for a short period of time.

This is really frustrating as I can't figure why my connection is kicking them!

Thoughts?

If TS "crashs" your router, I'd say your router could probably use a firmware upgrade ? I wouldn't know why / how TS should do that apart your router firmware has bugs ?

Do oyu friends get a timeout (see client.log) ? If so let them try what's posted i nthe no reply FAQ concerning timeout

Yeah, I was looking for some firmware the other day but I can't find any for my one. It's an Origo 4 port 10/100 with USB Print Server so if anyone out there can dig some firmware out I'd be most grateful. :-)
