Server Issues

I have no clue why my server is not working. I downloaded it and installed it fully. I set up all the preferences to what I wanted in superadmin/admin. I also downloaded the client, found my server on there, but when I go to connect to it, it just says "No reply from server Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it" I am using the correct IP address and everything, but for some reason I just can't get on the server. I was wondering if someone could help me out, and please explain simply and where to find/access things if need be. Thanks.

Try using your lan ip and not the wan ip. Your router might have a nat redirect filter which is stopping you from connecting.

Tried that. It did not work. I can get onto the server then, but noone else can. Are there additional steps besides the ones that are in the forums to setting up the teamspeak server? Are there other things I need to configure on my computer? Thanks.

You use LAN IP, the rest fo the world needs the WAN IP..
You need to forward the port(s) in your router for people beeing able to join your server.
