Hello!

I´m wondering if is there any plan for upcoming releases of betas of ts3 or any version of ts2 that has alsa support.

TS is a lovely program, one of the best for gamers, but in linux is very hard to configure. OSS is deprecated and none of linux has a good support of it, and the alsa emulation is very buggy.

I´m a cluster admin, with a lot of linux machines in my department and when i play in my house i always have my laptop with windows for use teamspeak, because i can´t use TS in my linux machine.

Please Please Please, alsa support!!!

TeamSpeak works fine under linux. It's the games that don't work.

And what's wrong with alsa emulation? alsa-oss works really well for me. at lest, I have yet to see any problems with it. just make sure your using alsa-oss-1.0.15, because 1.0.14 does and I mean does not work well with TeamSpeak.

And TeamSpeak, I think, uses OpenAL which uses OSS, so TeamSpeak has nothing to do with alsa support.

TeamSpeak 3's supposed to use FMOD but who knows it could use the same old OSS driver to.

So no from a programmers standpoint there will be no alsa support in TS 2.

And I'm probably going to get banned for commenting on these old threads.

Edit:

I spoke to fast I guess alsa emulation is buggy, the sound cuts out and everything. :(
