I love Teamspeak and I like the fact that you guys keep coming up with great ideas. But I've thought up a few of my own and I'll post them here.
1. Voice activation to multiple channels - Like keybindings, could we have the ability to setup voice activation to whisper to multiple channels. I've got a guy that I play with (he mostly likes to listen) that is badly handicapped in his hands and it hurts for him to use his hands for any period of time greater than 5 mins. He uses voice activation, but unfortunately he'll need to talk to multiple channels at the same time and it hurts to reach up and hit the button.
2. Export the channel list - With the previous version of teamspeak I was able to (with a little bit of difficulty) using a hex editor to open the server.db file and hunt thru it for all the channels. It would be nice to have a "export to text file" button that would export the channel listing with all the settings with it.
3. Export the user list - This would export all the user IDs into a text file.
4. Setup channels to whisper to other channels - Here's some background info first:
I play mechwarrior and in our clan we've got 16 people that like to get together to play with 3 teams (working together) and one central control (4 guys) that give the 3 teams our direction/orders towards a common objective. Right now, each of the teams have a keybinding setup to whisper to their own channel as well as the central control channel (so central control knows exactly what's going on), and another to whisper to all the channels in the event of needing help.
Occasionally we'll get more than 16 people together during that play time. Only 16 can play at one time, so the other remaining people come and filter into the central control channel so they can overhear what's going on. Unfortunately they can't talk to themselves without having the central control (4 guys) hear it too.
So, now that I've said my background onto the new feature.
Have the ability to "program" a channel to whisper to another channel. Basically anyone in a channel that whispers to everyone else in that channel, his "whisper" would also get sent to another/multiple channels because I'd have his channel setup that way. This would allow me to create a "listening room" for the people that aren't playing in the game, but with the ability to listen in and hear what's going on without disturbing the others. I could set each of the rooms to "broadcast" their conversations to the listening room or other rooms. I could do it now with having each of the players add the listening room to each of their keybindings, but it's hard enough to get them do anything more in teamspeak now.
Thanks for listening.
Keep up the good work.
