How to import backup ?

I do backups of server.dbs or server.ini but now i need to refresh my teamspeak server with this backup ... unfortunately when i just delete server.dbs and copy my backup server.dbs it does not work - when i start server it still has channels before backup (and server.dbs is back to size of old server.dbs) ... ?

whan you replace the server dbs file shutdown the server compleatly dont just stop the virtual server stop the damon then restart it

./teamspeak2-server_startscript stop

replace the files then

./teamspeak2-server_startscript start
