I have had this problem for just under a couple of weeks now, despite running the same drivers for nearly half a year - there have been no updates except for Vista.
I have tried changin to Wave/Direct Sound with no changes. Tried different inputs and outputs.
These are several Screens of the options ive have to change Playback/recording:
