WHen you create the server you use your IP in order for others to connect, is there any other way for others to connect? Sharing my IP is a bit odd.

Why is it odd? When you ask people to come over to your house, giving them your address is odd also?

Wow thats possible one of the funniest things i've seen for awhile on a forum : Pbut the only other way is to have a domain pointing to that IP address isntead that way you wouldn't give out the direct IP.... Just use something like no-ip

azhibberd's response is basically your answer. Those domains are easier to remember, but they DO NOT hide your real ip. Anyone one with the slightest knowledge of networking can find your real IP from a domain pointing to an IP. (It even says it in the TS window!)
