View Full Version : Running TS on a different computer - help me!
Yeah... I have a problem. :P
Okay, well I made my TS server at my house, but I play computer a lot at my public library. So, how do I get it so I can run the TS server I made at my house, at the library? If anybody knows, can they give me step by step instructions on how to do so?
Thanks,
Horror
Install on public pc, if you are allowed. Copy the server.dbs and the server.ini file to the public pc.
Can you explain how to do that? Lol. :D
You installed it at your house so you should be able to install it at the public place.
Now just copy the files I mentioned in the folder that you installed TS at your house and copy them to the install folder at the public computer.
Okay, thanks!
That's all I need to do then?
That is all you need to do to transfer the server.
Still didn't work.
I transferred server.ini server.dbl and server.log, what did I do wrong?

What didn't work?
Did you overwrite the files on the library pc?
Well, after I downloaded the TS Server at the library, I went to my email, and downloaded the three files from my home computer. I saved them in the TS document, and then tried to log into administration.
Did you accept the pop up that asked if you wanted to overwrite or not?
I'm pretty sure I did, but I'll download all again on comp...
IT LIVES!!! IT LIVES!!! Thanks guys!!!! :D
Now it won't let me log onto channel.
