I was having trouble with my mic settings that caused an echo. The TS display would lite-up my name every time someone else spoke and cause them to echo. I tried adjusting volumes, reloading drivers all to no avail. Here is what I found was the solution:
Go to:
Control Panel
Sounds and Audio Devices Properties
Audio
Sound Recording volume
uncheck What U Hear
check Microphone
Make sure the same is set for the Voice Recording volume on the Voice tab.
This may not solve everyone's TS echo but should help some.
