Having problems

Ok so i've followed all steps and ran the start up script but when i go to
http://ip:port nothing happens i get page cannot be found, but i know it's the right ip and port :S
Help is much appriated thank you!!!

LAN or WAN? Homehosted or Server? I still dont have a functioning crystall ball which i can use for more details?

O sorry, it's a server my friend owns a hosting company so he gave me a Linux shell

Check the firewall settings, that might be blocking it.
And check IPTables / deny- allow-from to see if anything is blocked.
