Are you trying to do this with the updated executable (v. 2.0.33.7)? If yes, then just move the new .exe file to the TeamSpeak folder and overwrite the old one.

As the name says, it's only an updated executable! No wonder it doesn't work as it's own.

thankyou for your reply but no i am not updating the file it is a new download and should contain the new exe. the error message still remaines. i have fully deleted the download and reinstalled, several times i am using windows and i am still stuck i am at the end of my options not sure how to get it working as a friend downloaded the same program into her com and it worked.

The full installation package of TeamSpeak 2 Client (v. 2.0.32.60) does not include the latest .exe.
Your problem does sound weird, but you can go through these steps to make sure that you are doing the installation correctly.

1. Uninstall everything related to TeamSpeak 2 Client in Windows' "Control Panel" -> "Add/Remove programs"
2. Delete the TeamSpeak 2 Client folder, most likely in "C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak2_RC2"
3. Restart your computer
4. Download the full installation package for TeamSpeak 2 Client (v. 2.0.32.60) (ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/teamspeak.org/releases/ts2_client_rc2_2032.exe)
5. Run the installation normally to the end
6. Download the updated TeamSpeak.exe file (v. 2.0.33.7) (ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/teamspeak.org/developer/client/20337/TeamSpeak.exe)
7. Replace the old TeamSpeak.exe file with the updated one in "C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak2_RC2"
8. Run TeamSpeak 2 Client from your desktop or start menu shortcut

Hope this helps you to solve the problem, good luck!
