TS2 RC2 Battlefield1942

Hi!

I am experiencing bigtime lagspikes every time anyone else but me starts to talk. If I turn TS2 RC2 off then the lagspikes go away. This did not happen in TS2 RC1. It does not matter if I am the one hosting the server or if it is a friend of mine

System specs:

Athlon 1.4GHz
512Mb
Win XP Pro
SB Live 5.1
GeForce2 GTS/Pro

Did you apply SP1 for XP ?
If you did, that might explain this.
If not then you may want to hold off and look elsewhere for the cause.

Hi!

No, I don't think I have SP1. (Unless it comes with automatic update) But maby, just maby I found the solution for my problem. I had the debug version of DirectX9 and after installing the retail version things went a lot smother. I haven't played that much after installing it thought, so I can't say for sure that the problem is gone.
