I have a question about channels and their usage. Is it possible for someone in a channel to somehow speak to all people on the server at once, not just the folks in his/her channel? For example, lets say a server is used for a racing league. Each racing team has their own separate channel for in team communications. There'sa race marshal that's probably also a server admin. he will occasionally need to make announcements heard by everyone. On some rare occasions, someone within one of the team channels will also need to make an announcement that can be heard by others outside the team channel...usually things like "sorry, pitting now, wreck in turn 3...stuff like that". Is this doable through channels, or through some other method? What about multiple clients and multiple servers, each with a separate push-to-talk setting? One would have individual team channels and would be used for team communications only, and one would have one large channel and would be used for group chatter.
Thanks for any support/suggestions
Dennis

OK, I think I answered my own question when I found the settings for Whispers, but I need some help with definitions of some things.
So, you can set a key to allow you to whisper to a Player List, Channel list, Channel Pre-defs, Channel Commander, and Preset. Under Channel Pre-defs you also have the choices of Parent Channel, Sub Channel, and Channel Family. Under Channel Commander, you have the choices In Sub Channel, In Parent Channel, In Own Channel, In Channel family, and under Presets, you have the choices of 0-9.
Whispering to a player list and channel list is pretty self evident. So are parent channel and sub channel. But what is a channel family? What is a channel commander? And under presets, you have the choices of 0-9. What do these correspond to?
Thanks for any support/suggestions
