another can't talk in game question (windows XP)

I just got TS a couple days ago, I can hear everything but no one can hear me.

My OS is Windows XP and and the recording options are set to mic, they are not set to line in.

In TS options I have turned output sound up all the way.

Some people say they can hear me, but its really really quiet.

I have used another program to TS called Ventrillo, and had no problems.

My mic is not muted, the switch is on.

Just to be safe, in all my bad tech skills, everything that has to do with volume on my comp, I turned up all the way. Still, I can't be heard.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Go to the OS recording settings and click advanced. Now enable mic boost.
