Hi

I am trying to install the latest TS 2.xx, but during the unpack stage, my anti virus flags it as spyware.

SpecificlY:

Online Armour flags a file called "INS4.tmp" as spyware. It is flagged as trying to execute out of the TEMP folder in my user account directory. I looked it up and its part of a commercial surveillance package thats not installed on my PC. I deleted my temp folder, and ran the installer again, this time it flagged INS6.tmp as spyware. Is it a coincidence that the temp installer files that TS creates have the same name as a spyware install, or do I have a piece of spyware installed?

Has anyone else had similar issues? I am not inclined to disable my spyware protection in order to install TS, unless I get reasonable assurances that TS is not spyware.

If you even think TS is spyware, please go off to another program.
Do either some research yourself ( since there is a pretty active topic about these kind of things ) or take it for granted...

Some logic thinking, wouldn't it be almost all over the news if TS is spyware / adware? Seeing as it is one of the biggest voice programs with almost the best license for the hosting part...

Thanks for the replies guys

Just checking, I really dont like it when It looks like my system is infected. I have done some extra scans etc, theres no problem. One thing tho, Online Armour seems to be a bit over zealous at times, I might go looking for a better program.

Maybe, its just where your operating system/SPYWERE softwere may conflict with it just check your firewall and check you got all the correct softwere.

What are you talking about? This has nothing to do with firewalls...

When Team Speak was installed did you read the F.A.Q here and the licence agreement. I think the package is a spyware bot, that generates usage reports of how much you use Team Speak. If you are having trouble getting a flag appear from your antivirus, you could possibly add it to a "Safe" List, depending on your Anti Virus. Which one do you have?
