Ok i looked through forum search and couldent find anything, and because my mate has Linux and ive never heard of this problem i decided to post here. if there is a thread with it please point it out to me.

ok

My mate has Linux on his Laptop.
He downloaded his teamspeak, When he first came on Teamspeak his Sound was Muted and so was his mic (he doesnt have a mic yet)

Now when i went through some checkoffs of problems ive come across or heard off. when i asked him to look at his Sound Ouput Devices, he said it was blank, yet his speakers were working fine,

Any ideas

Ada.

Would be a little bit easier, if your mate would post hisself.

Well, if he goes into his client's settings (Settings->Otions), he can choose between sound drivers.

He should try every option the client offers.

I'm not using the linux client, but perhaps a more linux-experienced user here in this forum can give a more detailled answer.

He does not have a mic yet ... What do you expect to show up?

1) I meant sound drivers, not the devices.

2) If no device is listed, there is a problem with the system's sound system, primary no TeamSpeak problem.

LOL

My question was directed towards the op.

Even if he gets something to show up he will not be able to test it. Plus is your friend going to use a 3.5mm plug or usb mic. You might need special drivers.
