Bump.

TS worked fine the first few days. Yesterday when I turned on my computer and activated TS my comptuer slowed down and it took about 1 minute for the program to open.

This is also happening with X-fire.

I do not know what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.

My system is Vista 64bit
intel core i7 CPU 2.93Ghz
12 GB RAM

Thanks in advance.

I don't know if this information helps-

I switched from Admin to the initial acount I created when I first set everything up. I then opened up TS. It opened as fast as you could snap your fingers.

Same thing with X-fire. No waiting or slowing down or anything. So I figured I should load TS and X-fire on the Admin account instead of using the programs from Admin while they are loaded on a different acount.

I deleted TS & X-fire. Then deleted the account, leaving Admin and 'guest' acount.

I down loaded TS and X-fire and re-installed. Same problem. I attempted to log into TS and when I clicked on 'connect' all the server information was already filled in. I figured I needed to remove TS from the registry as it was never completely removed. So I uninstalled it again, deleted the registry folder it was in (using Vista registry editor). Rebooted and re-installed.

Same problem. It's slow and the TS server information is already there when I try and connect, like I never did anything.

I dont kwow that to do, and have been up since 3am screwing with this.

C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\teamspeak\

delete the config file. May work.

Thanks. I gave up lastnight and did a system restore. I restored my computer to about 4 days ago, before windows did some updating. Everything works fine now, except one thing, no I have no sound notifcations at all. I can hear people and they can hear me just fine.

Any suggestions?

Go to ts >settings>options>sound notifications and make sure that all sounds are not disabled.

They were not disabled. I re-installed TS, the sound is back and everything seems ok.

Shortly after everything was working my computer took a crap. It turns out my video card was not going to work with my computer.

Now that I have everything in working order I installed TS on my computer.

I have the same problem, it freezes my comptuer when I start or close TS.

I followed BHKai's advise and deleted the config file from C:\users\username\appdata\roaming\teamspeak\, but that did not change anything.

So I am back to square 1. I uninstalled, then rebooted, then reinstalled TS again and still the same problem.

I don't know what else to do.

Try turning debug mode on for ts and check the cleint.log.

You can also check the event viewer of Windows. start>run>eventvwr.msc

I turned on debug mode. I then closed and opened TS a few times and checked the eventvwr. I did not see error's. But there was alot of information, I do not know what to look for. Can you give me some guidance?

I also do not know how to check the client log, but assumed it would be in the TS directory named TSclient. So I viewed that file but did not see anything listed about errors, however I will copy and paste what it says below

-------------- log started at 17-03-09 23:12 -------------
---------------------------------------------------------------
17-03-09 23:12:41,4732,DEBUG,All,Startup,Client version 2.0.33.7
17-03-09 23:12:41,4732,DEBUG,ProcedureInfo,Client Open,Creating and starting threads
17-03-09 23:12:41,4732,DEBUG,All,TDSoundIn.Open,opend direct Capture 8bit=0 , 11khz=1

Just to be clear when I say 'freezes' my computer; It does not cause it to lock-up so that I have to restart it, but will freeze it for about 50 seconds when opening or closing TS, then everything returns to normal.

Mostly if there is warning or errors in the system part of the application part. Only logs around the time that you try to start TS.

I do not see any reason nor can think of any for why it would slow your pc down. You can check task manager and see if there is any process that is running high.

For it to slow down your computer it would have to be messing with explorer if the processor is not being used up.

Sometimes spyware can cause "freezes" or a general slowing of the computer.

Also, sometimes, video drivers can cause some funky problems. Although i doubt that these may be the problem, i am out of ideas as well.
