I have downloaded & installed the TS2 client for win.
On my version my Channel, Player & self are greyed out & non functional, do I have to register it or something, or do I have a bad version.
Also when I hit conection/conect/Web Server List, only Four items appear in the list Public 1, 2, 3 & weblist not active!!!
any help would be appreciated.

uh . . . not to be mean or nything but have you read any of the news on the front page ;)
The webserver list is offline and has been for a while. U need to know the server you are connecting to. The self options will not be avalible unless you are connected to a server. Self allows you to register on a server, or set your status and so forth. But you must be connect to server in order for it to work.

Im not sure if my server is running correctly but heres the ip anyway 207.44.192.19:8767

ok so you are trying to connect to server, that is locally on your network ?
If thats the case you can only connect from the Lan side
198.168.xxx.xxx a possible lan ip
other user connect via your external ip. This is if you are using a router.
And if you are make sure that all the ports that need to be open are and are using the right protocols
8767 udp
51234 tcp
14534 udp

Nope server is in Texas Im in Cal. Its a linux server my clan rent, I installed the TS Server onto it & started successfully, at least I never got any errors & when I stopped it to get the password I started it again & was able to sign into the admin panel.
So do I still have to open ports on that server, there are no routers involved that side nor firewalls that I know off, on my side I have a Belkin Router, but I can't see that being a prob.
Sorry Im very new at this so bare with me.
Thanks.

you need to find out if your service provider has a router running that is blocking the port u need to connect with.

Amazing what a fresh install will do, some of the files were different on my version of the linux server folder, it was named tss2 but the fresh download I just made & installed was named tss2_rc2, hmmm strange one, but did the trick, took a week or two but defenetly worth it in the end, me thinks I'll write a tech guide for dummies & post a link here on these forums, besides I can referance it my self from time to time.
Thanks Guyz

Yup, that was surely your problem I bet. The RC2 version (which you had just installed) is NOT compatible with previous versions.
That is what the new download and install was (tss2_rc2 vs. tss2); you just installed v RC2.
