The last time I hosted a Server I had 2 IP addresses, local and world. Now I am only showing local- where is my World IP? Without my World IP everyone is having to use a different IP to login which makes no sense.

Also I am trying (as the admin and super-admin) to edit the Max 16 Users and delte some people, it is not allowing me to do so, why not?

Use www.whatismyip.com. TS stopped doing that out.

Are you getting an error are the changing not taking place.

No error, the changes just are not happening. I've also been trying to change my country as it is incorrect and it dosent work.

As far as the user limit is concerned it tells me only the SuperAdmin can change so I log in as SuperAdmin and I can not find it at all. No idea what is up with that.

Which OS is your server on?

JonahJB

I use Windows Home
And that link gave me an IP, however people can not login using that IP.

Is the server on your lan?

JonahJB

LAN = Local Area Network?
Not that I am aware of. Its on my computer and I connect directly (thru a modem/roter of course) to the internet.

BHKai

Yeah local area network.

You have to use the lan ip to connect and the wan ip is used for people outside your line.

Make sure that the ports are still being forwarded to the correct lan ip address of your server.

2 questions then, how do I find my lan IP and how do I find the Win IP?
And by "outside my line" you mean...outside my city/state/country?? Dont understand this part.

Lan ip is the one that ts "show ip" gives you.

Wan ip is the www.whatismyip.com.

Outside means outside your subnet. I.e. not connected your router.

Another way you can find your Lan ip is to go to start > run > type in cmd and hit enter. In the new window type in ipconfig and hit enter.

You'll get some numbers back. The one that is by IP Address is your LAN. Here's what mine looks like

Connection-specific DNS suffix . . . : kc.rr.com
IP Address . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .: 192.168.1.105
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.2555.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . . . . .: 192.168.1.1

So my Lan is 192.168.1.105

Just a little additional information for you.

Ok so I have both of them, I tried getting people to connect using my WIN IP and its not working. Keeps telling them server may not be up.

You mentioned having a router. You may have to the ports forwarded. If you don't know how to do that you can go here http://portforward.com/routers.htm

Do you have any firewalls? Software or hardware wise? Kaspersky Internet security? Norton Internet security?

Website is asking me to buy, I am not buying anything.

Firewall is PC, Anti-Virus is Avast. However when I have my server up both of these are normally down.

Wasn't trying to get you to buy anything. The page has lots of routers with documentation of how to forward your ports. For example if you had a linksys BEFSR41v1.40.2,

you'd go to http://portforward.com/routers.htm
Then scroll down to the Linksys BEFSR41v1.40.2 and click it.
Then it asks you for what program so you scroll down to TS.
It opens up a guide to how to forward your ports step by step.

JonahJB, please use either one of the many public TeamSpeak servers that you can find using the "Web Server List", create your own channel there (with a password), and meet your friends there, OR buy a server if you really need an entire server to yourself.
From this thread it is clear that you lack basic networking and computer knowledge, and are not prepared to show initiative and try and learn the stuff you lack - you are not fit to host your own TS server, also - hosting a server on a home (dsl/cable) line is, as I have said many times on these forums, only a sollution for very small user numbers (e.g. less then 4 people on your server), once it gets more your bandwidth will fail on you.

Make sure you give them the port# on the end of the IP like this 74.220.193.245:8770, if the ":port#" is not there then that can be why they can't connect as there needs to be a port# so ur client knows what to look for.

You can find the port# in the admin section of ur server in the settings section. If you need further help I'll be glad to help out as much as possible. Also make sure the port is forwarded correctly once you find out the ports for TS you are using.

The defaults are
TCP:51234
HTTP:14534
Default port for first TS Server unless changed is 8767

Hope this helps :)

Peter, sorry to disappoint you however I've been using TS for more then 2 years. This is FIRST time I have ever had these issues. These forums are here to help people, and that what I am doing- I am getting help. "...use either one of the many public TeamSpeak servers" ... the Server I host is for a GUILD, which means public servers will not work for us. And no I do not lack computer skills, I've been using a computer since I was 6 years old. Not my problem I have NEVER had this issue with TeamSpeak. (PS Pet, if u dont know someone dont assume things, by your response I could assume a few things, about you, but I wont).

Now back to the matter at hand. Ok so I got the IP fixed, now how do I change the "max users" and the Country?

tctransporter

you have to be logged in as the superserver admin then you select the server you need to change, and click "Server Settings" there you can change the max slot count.

BTW: Peter is correct in saying that some of this can be found out if it's sought out by the user, click the "Help" pic in the server admin page and you can explore that to gain more knowledge on how to do things such as administering the server.

I know, I was just pointing out the help section in case you didn't know about it.

And as BHKai stated the server needs to be off before you can change the slot count, same goes for the port#, etc...
