overdue release?

i've been waiting for ts3 since late 2007 and when i saw it would be released in early 2008 i was eager to wait. it's been over a year now and i'm still waiting like millions of other people around the world. can we get another estimate of when it will be in full release? my guess will be in late 2010 at this rate.

Couldn't agree more. We've been hearing loads about how revolutionary it is but if you tell people about it an then wait 3 years to release it (As i recall it was first publicised in 2006) people are going to go off it and go somewhere else and i'm sure teamspeak 2 won't have been updated while you've been working on teamspeak 3 so there's bound to be security holes now. I think people would be happy if you'd judt release a beta.

There's a clear statement (and as ATHP we can assure you it's in good practice) that security issues on TS2 will be fixed until release of TS3 - the reason why there had been no updates for a long time is that there were no security issues (at least none anybody knows of). Of course, improvements of functionality or any issue not related to security had been and most probably will be dropped in favor to TS3.

As far as I know Beta for TS3 actually is in (early?) planning stage - but of course I'm not the one to put any official statement.
I'm sure there's good progress and they will release a quite _stable_ software - when it's done.

There's this really awesome feature called "search". It can be found here http://forum.teamspeak.com/search.php. Use the search forums function--your answer is everywhere. There are no known security holes. You show me someone who has a had a security hole exploited and i'll show you user error.

I think people would be happy if you'd judt release a beta. What goods a beta if it's not to that stage? You'll get a beta when it's ready. In my personal opinion, the devs would be happy if everyone would use the search feature before posting. They've answered these questions countless of times.

The full release for TS3 will arrive when they're done. End of story.

And there's a really awesome phrase called been there read all that. It's currently in the "final stages of development" and it hasn't even reached beta yet? The last post was at Oct 31, nice try on bringing me up to date when I already read it and decided to post this thread.

I believe i read some where that it's in beta testing stages now, but not for the public, only a few have the honor of testing it out, they report the bugs and they are fixed, until all the bugs are worked out it may not be released.

I know it's been a long time but I'm willing to wait as long as possible so that the bugs are out and it's good to go when they release it, at least most of the way bug free, but it's not always possible to please everyone from the go...

It is in closed alpha.

If you look at the dev blog and this forum you would know exactly what stage TS3 is at and you would not have to make another pointless thread on this forum. As you will know that it is up to the devs when it comes out and no matter how many times you post here is it going to come out sooner.

that defeats the purpose of you searching for yourself. You came in with having already read a couple posts. Thank you. You didn't have the most up to date so i told you how to find it. Especially when that specific question has been answered lots of times everywhere. I wouldn't have told you it was in closed alpha but i'm not as nice as others.
