I have this error message but I know what i did to get it.
No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
unfortunately i don't know how to undo what i did, or get back into the server (or any server for that matter).
this is my story.
I used teamspeak client every day for the past 2 or 3 weeks, no problems what so ever. earlier today i decided i wanted to start my own server so i could talk to my friend and a different group of people (other than the ones i was talking to--the clan to be specific) so I downloaded TS2 server, copied down the admin password and started up the server.
well i wanted to see what was in the admin password spot, so i went in, and tried to change my settings for my server, but only the user friendly ones (ie. changed name of server and password, and how many people could join). I went to connect back with my friends in the clan, the same ones i was connected to not even 5 minutes earlier, and i got that error
"No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it"
so, whatever I did (which was simply installing the server) screwed up my client or something.
the thing is. I first did a system restore, that didn't work because all of my info was still in my client "quick connect". so i figured i needed to uninstall everything, so i did that. that didn't work either. but the wierd thing was, when i reinstalled the client and not the server, it still had all of the same info saved in the "quick connect" dialogue box. so i automatically assumed it was being saved in the registry which i am not firmilliar with. so what i did was remove TS2 client and clean out my registry with a cleaner. unfortunately that didnt work either. so there must be some sort of active registry file that keeps all of that information somewhere, unfortunately i can not find it. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM, because as of now i can not use teamspeak2 client with anyone but my own server. what's the fun in that?
xzacto********.com please email me if you can help.
