First you need to check with your host and see if they allow TS to be hosted. If they do then you will need to download the linux version of TS to host it on your site as it's Linux they run. You can get the Linux server version from the Downloads page (http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads). Just so you know some hosts might require a fee or something as mine does since it'd be better if you had a static IP for your TS Server to be easy to connect to.

There should be instructions in the download file that tells you how to install it, and get it running, then all you have to do is copy the db over to the root of the TS Server for linux from winodws on your PC and you should be able to keep the same settings and servers without having to make new ones.

Worked for me. Hope this helps.

I was going to try this and was glad that someone had done it before me - THANKS!

Not sure what the "linux from windows on your PC" part meant. Can you clarify please?

Also, having copied the database, what actually runs it and accesses it? Surely something else needs to be moved doesn't it? Pardon my ignorance!

Read the section about server backup/restore. Move process much the same, you could be need to edit one string in config, but that's all.
