Is there a way to setup teamspeak on a gigabyte lan with zero voice delay?
What i was looking to do is use teamspeak for a school board meeting in which my Laptop would be the Server and would plug into the amplifier and speakers that to play to the public. Each board member already uses a laptop at the meetings. If I could get something like this to work I could cut down the audio equipment that i have to carry by more than half.
techincally, no. Zero voice delay is impossible (through a computer)
However, i may not be following what your asking. A LAN is a localized network, so you all would be relatively in the same spot anyway, so why use teamspeak type program to communicate when you can do it in person with zero delay?
Also, If all you wanted to do is to make it loud enough so that the public can hear the board meeting, just buy a mic and some speakers.
Maybe i missed something but i don't understand what you want.
TS 3 will address the delay problem. It is a program issue no matter if you had fiber connection you can not get rid of the delay.
TS 3 will *reduce* the delay problem. You cannot, by design, eliminate all noticable latency in a voice-com based on a PC and a soundcard.

still haven't used maggie's concept yet, I guess.

Well that would be nice if it could be eliminated, but there are some things you just can't get rid of, just minimize the affect of it if that.
