View Full Version : Join flooding

Hello,

I'm running a TS Linux Server (2.0.24.1).
Just recently, there have been numerous join floods in terms of people (assumably bots) entering and leaving the server over and over again. Apparently all of them with different ip's or, I suppose, they wouldn't be able to join and leave that often. Given that the server is in clan mode (and I'd like to keep it that way), it sounds "Player joined" all the time, which is very annoying. So, the best solution I can come up with so far, is to place a password on the server. However, I'm not that happy with this solution because using a password will cause some other inconvenience as, obviously, everyone has to be handed the password before being able to join.

So is there any other kind of measure to prevent such from happening?
I'd be very grateful, if someone could help.
Thanks in advance!!
