View Full Version : 2 servers, 1 network
I am in a house, and someone else in the house set up their own ts server also..they changed my the ports to forward to their ip and not mine, so my server is no longer working. Is there a way to run 2 servers off 1 router? It wont let me just add a new port and forward it to my ip because it overlaps theirs.
For example
computer 1 ip = .150
computer 2 ip = .151(me)
computer 1 has the basic ts ports forwarded..51234,14534, 8767 to .150
Where do i go from here?
====edit===
Using the superadmin account i created another ts server, changed the UDP port to 8766, opened the .ini and changed the other 2 as well, am i heading in the right direction?
======================================
Is there a way to get a separate superadmin login/server.ini/.txt files for each server?
=======
nvm found it.
Yes. Check the server.ini file for the others also.
I removed the server with 8767 from my superadmin account, so now my ts will run solely alone and separate right?
If you are saying yes to the different superadmin logins/server.ini/.txt, I still only have the one from the original server, even though it is now deleted. Also the superadmin account was wrong in the file, i had changed it and just remembered it.
I do not remember however, what i changed the admin account info to, and the one in the file does not work.

You can see your passwords in clear, if you open your server.dbs in, say, notepad. Better don't open original file, however.
Copy it somewhere and look through copy. Search for names of users you're interesting and there will be passwords, right before the names, as I recall.

BTW, to the original problem.
It is possible to have non-symmetrical port forwarding (only exception I know of is a D-Link routers - they can't handle it, unfortunatelly). So you do not need to do any magic with your existing TS server, just forward your ports correctly.
Say, 8766/udp -> 192.168.0.151:8767/udp
(However, i'd better slap that other guy for interference with your server. Just in case "I were first")

Yea thats what i did, seems to be workin, thanks though
And about the "first" thing...I was first..lets just say that.
another thing is who is paying for the internet connection who is the one who own that one and is getting bills ?
if its you then you can slap him and set portforwards with priority for yours. And set him any other you are not using.
