Hi all
I have TS2 server running on Windows XP operating system.
My Isp (BT) only seems to support Dynamic IP addresses unless you have the Business Package.
I have found that if I leave my PC running, then the dynamic IP does not change so I do not need to keep posting the new IP address to my friends on our website.
I have tried just putting PC into Hibernate mode but still friends get disconnected from the client.
Is there a way of running Teamspeak server 24/7 whether my PC is on or not?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There is no possible way to keep ts2 running on an offline server. You could leave your computer running so your ISP sees the lease as owned, but any time you have to reboot it may change the IP. The best method is to see if you can obtain a static IP from your ISP. Another method would be to use dynamic dns software to have a domain name always point at the right ip address.

Just like a car needs fuel to drive, a piece of software needs a running PC / server...

Hibernating is writing all current data in to the HD ( temporary ) and shuts the rest down..
Therefore you lack the "fuel" to run your program and it will not work...
