Okay, I'm making a server for my clan, and I can't get it running.
I keep getting this:
No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
Whenever a friend connects.
I've made sure I gave him the correct IP, and I am able to connect internally (LocalHost), but for some reason, he can't connect.
He has tried about a million times, and he still can't get it working.
Can some please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Many possibilities, and since I hate to guess, it's going to be you to do your homework.

Well, I am behind a router (linksys WRTG something I think).
It's WiFi, and I can't seem to be able to log into it.
Is it possible to change the port that the server uses?
I'll reiterate.
You (thelifelessone) said the following:

Okay... I'm pretty sure its my ports.
Is there a way to change the ports that the server uses?
I use a linksys router, which I seem to have lost the information to, but if I can configure it to use already open ports, I think that will work.

if you go to the web interface (http://localhost:14534) and login at a superadmin/admin you can change it, see picture
http://www.dayofswords.com/anyfile/img/udpport.JPG
WARNING:if you set it to an un open port, no one outside of lan can get in
from what you gave for your router, its not enough, check the model number, (normally on bottom near barcode) and find it on this list (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm) then select teamspeak from the program lists
if you have never opened a port, and beileve no one ever has, defualt login for your router may be "admin" and password "admin"
i cant seem to find how to change the UDP defualt port......

Then please read that guide again and post the info requested for the step you're failing at.
I'm glad to know you're sure in whatever thing you are, but that not going to help you unless you know how to solve it yourself.
Documentation for all routers freely available in internet, especially if that's Linksys(!). Just go to their website and D/L your documentation in PDF.

No need, he can already connect to server from local, so there's nothing wrong with server itself and no need to touch it's config with dirty hands.

And keep in mind that people who wrote these instructions on portforward were spitting on to security from a high tower.
You do not need to open any ports other than 8767/udp (default) unless you SURELY know you need them open.
if you have never opened a port, and beileve no one ever has, defualt login for your router may be "admin" and password "admin"
I think, that's explained in documentation, and not always the same even for the devices of the same brand.

I've opened ports before...
Sorry if I seem rude here, but I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to computers.
I'm not very big with networking, but I know how to open ports in windows... Only problem was I can't log into my router, because a friend lost my information for it.
Admin doesn't seem to be working, but I will try another password it could be.
I am 100% sure it's my ports, so all I need to do is open the correct ports.
But, if it matters, this is my router: http://www.linksysbycisco.com/US/en/products/WRT54G2
Pressing and holding the reset button on the back of that router for 5 seconds will reset it to factory default.
After you reset it to default, leave username blank and the password is admin. Default ip is 192.168.1.1
depends as far as passwords go.
Linksys tends to be user: admin pass: admin
You can easily check online.

admin/admin or admin/<blank> typical configurations.
Rememeber, if you go to hard reset, you'll need to know all the details about your ISP connection.

You windows has nothing to do with portforwarding. At least, not until you forward your ports from router to your PC.

Admin/Admin doesn't work... My idiot brother decided to change that without knowing what he was doing.
And I had pre-opened the Windows ports.
Right now, the easiest thing to do is to change the ports that the client uses...
He doesn't know the log in info, and I can't (Won't. Ever.) reset the router.
So, how would I do that?
Change the ports it uses I mean.
Also, if I can change them, can I set them all to use the same port?
Or will that not allow the data to go through correctly?
I know for a fact I've got a port open, and I know which one... I had to configure it so I could host games on Warcraft III.

After you reset it to default, leave username blank and the password is admin. Default ip is 192.168.1.1
This is what the manual says for your router on what the factory default is.
And why are you afraid of reseting the router? In this case its what you have to do. Or live without hosting teamspeak. Unless you magically find that lost password. If you use cable it should auto configure (dhcp), if you use dsl or something else make sure you get your connection information (if you dont know it, call your isp) before you reset your router.

Okay, I'm not afraid to reset my Router.
Honestly, I'm now allowed to, and there is no chance of convinicing.
It is my router, (not hijacking a signal) but I'm not the one to actually personally owns it.

All you need is to have your ISP account credentials on hand to reconfigure router after reset.
If you are now the only user and de-facto owner of this internet connection, I highly suggest you come to ISP support and ask them to resign the contract from whoever own it now to you. However, you most likely need at least passport of the original account owner to prove that you have right to do so.

if its your parents/roommates/dudethatownsallinthathouse
explain to then what is happening
is the router being used to run another server or teamspeak or http or blah?
PS:btw for resetting, you may need a pen or something just to poke it :p
PSS:ANR Daemon, about before, sorry i'm still new to the interworkings of ts, but those were the things that helped me get it setup up for first time
poke, poke, poke
