Most probably you are trying to connect to your WAN IP instead of your LAN IP. If you are behind a router its important that every computer in the LAN does connect to the LAN IP. You will have to setup a portforwarding on your router as well (udp 8767) to the Computer running the TS server in your LAN.

In case that you dont have a router a little bit more systeminformation would be needed to help you.

-Exact TS2 version of Server and Client
- Type of your internetconenction
- Type of firewall installed
- Type of OS
- ...

Ok... since you get a "bad request" i assume that the server and client version arnt the same. Please make sure that you download and install the latest version of TS2 RC2. When trying to connect to an RC2 server using the RC1 client you might experience the problems you are describing.

There are Downloads for the TS2 RC2 Server and Client in the Downloadsection of Teamspeak.

Be sure to uninstall your current TS2 client/server before attempting to install the new ones.

Should the problem not be solved you might want to post the exact versionnumber of your client and server.
