Hi all,

I used to run TS 1.5 with no problems what-so-ever - and love it! Recently the server I game on updated to the newest version of TS - and now my microphone (Labtec headset) isn't picked up by the new version. I know the mic works, I use it in other applications. I've tried adjusting all the TS settings with no results. Any clues on what I need to do? I have a Soyo Dragon Plus mobo and the soundcard is onboard. I flashed the bios about 2 months ago...I'm out of ideas. Plz help.

Thanks! Snake

- The mico just send the analog voice stream to the sound card
- There is no need that TS supports your micro

have you tested the loopback in TS2 ?
have you tested your sound settings ?

I have tried the loop-back test with every setting and none work. The GSM codecs will produce a noise somewhere between humming and static while the other codecs produce no sound at all. Likewise, I have tried both direct and wave and even the force 8 bit recording. I don't get it, TS 1.5 worked fine on this exact same machine.

I've got the same sound card, integrated on the motherboard. I've got the most recent drivers, and am getting the exact same issue as reconsnake is getting, no response from the microphone either locally or via the server.

I have tried the Windows included sound recorder, works fine, I have tried all the built in Windows tests for sound and microphone, all works fine. I've also tried another voice chat software, that also works, but with TS 2 RC2 I can hear, just not speak.

TS1.5 has nothing to do with ts2. Not the same application. Maybe not even 1 coding line the same ...

CMI 8738 here too, i can only listen in on TS2, i cannot respond. My mic(s) work fine, as others have already stated, with the Windows Recorder...it also works fine with Acid Pro, Cakewalk, Reason and Fruity Loops. TS2 is just not recognizing my onboard soundcard for some reason. Have any of you figured this out by chance? I see a dev posted something useful. ;)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

The onboard CMI 8738 works really well with TS2 here. I have WinXP with the latest C-Media WDM-drivers (V6.43) from Microsoft WindowsUpdate. No problems with sounds or TeamSpeak what so ever. I also tried TS 1.5, and it too worked like a charm.

Tried to get TS2 working last night with newer drivers. Downloaded 6.44... still no go... wave/direct/8bit none helped.

I've got a asus A7V333 with 1.018 Beta bios.

One of my teammate told me when it looked like it was working that I sounded like a russian submarine commander...

I have the CMI8739 in a PC-chips motherboard and it works great here, i can receive and send sound.
Check if you´re using the "Direct Sound" insted of "Wave" in the TS configurations. [Settings >> Option].

That´s all. =]
