Timeout Issues

It seems about every 15 minutes after logging into a server, I get an error that says

Timed out

Then, I cannot connect back in until about 5 minutes later.

I am using a router, I have found that using DMZ will work!

But!! Is there anything else I can do, where I dont have to use DMZ??
Is this a server problem or client problem?

I would say that it is a router problem. For some reasons your router seems to shut down the listening port for the incomming udp traffic after 15 minutes. The strange part is where you can't connect for another 5 minutes as it should reopen the port as soon as you start with a fresh connection attempt.

Does your router have an Firewall or Anti-DoS software integrated which dynamically might generate rules to block certain traffic?
