Hey all, i have a question about sort order:
My channel was the lowest of the Teamspeak server i am at. I tried changing the sort order to 99999 or 64000 but i cant move it all way down as it was, does anyone know which number do i have to use in order to put it back again there???. (I Already changed the channel name to ZZZZZ)
I read all the posts here in this forum but couldnt find an answer, sry for mi english, thx all.
P.S: Teamspeak Version: 2.0.24.1
The sort order works like this.
The lower the number, the higher up on the list it is.
The higher the number, the lower on the list it is
If they have the same sort order number then it goes by alphabetical.
Look at the sort order number of the lowest channel and go above it by one. Then you should be good.

Thanks for answering so fast :). I already did that, i tried 999999 or 64000. i want to be at the lowest on the list. The name of my channel is ZZZZZZZZ. I dont know what else can i do. But i tried many different numbers i found out that not always the higher number is the lower on the list :/
Question: How can i know the sort order number of another channel?
Right click on the channel and hit Edit channel. Then whatever number pops up is that channels sort order.
EDIT. Type in 65001

Already tried, and its the same if i put -100, i tried with negative numbers.
I cannot edit others channels cause i dont have SA :(, so i guess i cannot know the sort order number of the others members.
There must be a special number -.-

Yes i edited it so many times, also the max users, cause i want to put my channel back to the lowest position.
Atm i have max users 34474, but when i edit says 32000. And Sort order if i have more tan 65999 my channel goes up :/, its really weird that's the reason why i say that it doesnt work exactly the way as ZeroTKA mentioned.
P.S: The server is 201.212.0.44:8767, but i believe that wont work for you cause u are from czech.
Platform: Linux
There are Sub-channels. These channels are apart of a 'main' channel. The main channel is the basis of the sort order. When logging into your TS, i saw that your ZZZZ channel is at lowest point possible. Because that channel has sub-channels, you will not make ZZZZ go any lower. The only way to make it the very last one is to remove all the sub channels.
or to use colpase or how is called that mark which looks like
[+] or [-]
and its usually before channel name{not before subchannels} and its icon
to pack subchannels of that last channel :D
voila see its last one :] silly ^^
... if i have more tan 65999 my channel goes up ...
I assume that is because data type used for sort order "overfilled" and the number is then shorten with max value for that data type (should be 65535) so the real number used then is the difference
in your example its "...if I have more than 464 my..."

nono my channel is called "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ RULEZ" and you can see now i have 4 more channels lower than mine.

Yes i could do that, but the problem is that when i log off and log on again it changes back as it was :*/
Any other ideas???
start at 65000. Then continue up till your channel is there. That's all i got. I know it changes it's sorting order to 64000 but through tests you can see that it still takes 65000.
OR send a mass text to the channel and ask them what there sorting number is.
no is it as I said problem is they have also that knowledge and they used that fact during creation of their channel.
so when you count max 65535 sort order with channel name which consist of ZZ in whole content you cant go lower than that channel. I tryed.
set sort order to 65535 and you will get lower dont look at value later on that it "wrongly" shows 64000 ....
and you cant make channel with same name chezz
charmap / ASCII ftw doesnt work with TS ... it sux at sorting big time.
conclusion::
this is what you get on not well configured server. heh.
so no you propably will not be able to get lower than that currently last channel.
