I have Audigy4 and TS is working fine. Yesterday I bought wireless HS-1200 headset form Creative Labs, and sound coming from mic in TS is really bad. This headset has also problem with low level coming from mic, which can be amplified in Skype, but not in Teamspeak. But much bigger problem is noise and distortion making me unable to talk to others, while I can hear them OK. Noise sound 'digital' (like broken CD player) and it is there even if I don't talk, and when I talk my voice is garbled. I can hear it myself if I use local test. Mic works fine in other applications (Skype, Recorder), and changing options does not help. Different codes gives different type of noise and distortion of my voice, but it is always there.

Does anybody use this headset with success?

Just a note:This new headset is USB, so it installs as separate audio device. I have uninstalled driver for Audigy, but no success. Will try to remove all cards, and USB devices.

Dual core, 2GB, XP SP2, Audigy 4, Cynergy 400 (TV card), Logitech wireless mouse

I have seen that posts before, and it didn't help in my case, but thank you anyway.

Problem was half-resolved by blowing in the mic. :)
It seems like AGC was problem. When I have blowed in mic (making extremely loud noise) AGC resets and crackling stopped, but my voice was very quiet. As I talked AGC was amplifying my voice and it was OK. But if I start to speak very loud crackling appears again, so I need to blow in mic and start over again. Weird.

None of this is happening in other voice programs.

Can you test another mic to make sure it's not a setting problem? Also, make sure you don't have a fan or something in the background causing a distortion like sound. For low level problem, i suggest turning mic boost on.

Got the same problem btw.
>settings>options>other>process priority> high
.. of cause

Wave / direct sound ... doesn't matter.
