Sound loss with Battlefield1942

While playing Battlefield 1942 using ts2, I more often than not lose all sound(ts, game,everything), and have to reboot to get it back. I was wondering if there was a cause for this, and possibly a solution. thanks.

Specs:

p4 1.6, 256Mb ram, g4 ti 4400, sb audigy2

not that I know. But have you tested running TS in Wave or Direct sound ?
Driver Update ?

ditto on that stuff....I only play bf42 and I have no problems....sounds like drivers to me. maybe after it happens go to your device manager and see if anything looks odd.
