Very low Mic volume

Hi, I have searched and there is nothing apparent about this issue:

My TS mic volume is incredibly low. Almost noone can hear me. But in any other app, and in game, my mic volume is ok and people can hear me fine.

If I adjust the output volume everyone else gets far too loud. If I change the input device it either stops working or doesnt change the volume (since its so quiet its hard to tell.)


How do I increase the mic volume in TS only? Its maxed out in all windows settings afaik.

This is with a USB mic and windows 7.

You probably need to enable mic boost or turn up the levels. Not sure how Windows 7 works but you need to get to the sound and audio devices. I've attached a image to help guide you. Mic boost can be enabled from the same place i believe.1648

Windows xp :

Start > control panel > sound and audio devices > Voice tab > click on advanced.

I meant to get back to this sooner, but no I've already tried that, and as I said the mic works fine in all other apps anyway. Its something specific to teamspeak.

Now days a lot of apps and in-game have their own separate recording volumes. That is to say that you can control the volume of your mic through these apps and games.

The only way i know how to do it in TS is to utilize the sound and audio devices in windows and make sure mic boost is on.. I don't have windows 7 so i can't tell you much more. You can always try switching between wave and direct.
