When I do self-test and listen to myself, I can hear myself for 2 seconds, then it begins to echo crazily, and makes a loud static noise, just echoing through. I updated my SoundCard, from the site you recommended me to go(Kx), and now it's got better. But I still encounter the problem. It never used to be like this a week ago. Help please =)

Could it be that another application, your little brother, are whatever else have changed your input settings on the soundcard?

Make sure that your soundcard is set to record from microphone only. Certain applications can cause trouble with certain soundcards (not talking about teamspeak. ie. winamp is known to have an impact on output volume and resets the volume at every system restart. This does just happen under very special circumstances though).

How can I make sure that my soundcard is set to record from my microphone? =\ - Do you mean, to not put it at the bottom level?
Please be specific.

And I thank you greatly for your help!

well.. basicly your soundcard comes with the windows sound-mixer an in most cases with another controll pannel where you can adjust output and input levels as well as sources for output (and depending on the soundcard special filters and so on).

You have to tell your soundcard where it is supposed to record from. Soundblaster cards have a feature that records "what you hear". IE everything (midi/wave/external midi/microphone/aux) gets recorded. This can be a good thing in certain situations but Teamspeak isnt the application where you want to record your ingame sounds as well.

Go to the controll pannel of your soundcard and check if the microphone is the only selected input source. Make sure that "record what you hear" isnt selected. Also make sure that your microphone isnt picking up the sound from your speakers (in case you dont use a headset).

One more thing.. You dont have per chance installed a webcam during the last week?

-My SoundCard came with progz, but I uninstalled the Mixers and what not programs that it came with it.

-I installed a program called SoundCapture, and it allows you to pick up "what you hear"(precise feature), but I uninstalled it and it seems to less echo.

-Can you be more specific on how to get to these settings?
(Running XP)

-Yes, I installed a WebCam yesterday. -
And any TeamSpeak settings I should check? - When I do a self test, there is still a minor echo at the end=O

When your in TS and you say something can people hear you well? Can you catch your own echo? Or is this only happening on the self test?

Only happens in SELF>TEST.

Other then that, people say they can hear me perfect.

So to say, people dont hear your echo?
If thats the case you might want to mute the output of your microphone as it seems that it gets played back to you.

The reason why i asked for the webcam is, that the Webcam most problably has a built in microphone. Make sure that you select your usual microphone and not the one of your webcame in teamspeak settings.

I dunno if I would worry about it that much if it's just the self test. But if you can hear yourself whenever you talk in channel(which is very annoying) then I suggest what Judas says, that is the common thing. And yes, webcam mics suck arse, didn't even realize my TS switched to it once I installed my webcam and couldn't figure out why I sounded like crap. They seem to add the talking into a can effect.
