View Full Version : Playing files over TS
Hi.. not sure if this is the right place to post this but how do I play files over teamspeak without putting my microphone near my speakers? (headset)
I am using TS2 and my OS is Windows XP Home. Soundcard is SoundMAX.
Thanks
Open up soundmax control panel and under recording, select Wave Out Mix.
Huh? That don't make no sense to me at all. I don't have that option. I open up SoundMAX control panel from the control panel and it brings up the panel now what do I click on?
Your control panel is different to mine.. this is what happens when I open mine up and click the microphone icon..

Any suggestions?
Hit the wrench looking thing ( preferences, next to the speaker ).
Under the General tab, make sure recording options are selected and that 'wave out mix' is checked.
Then you can select it.
There is only a master box.
what can do that tinny button next to that other one with a green dot below Master in record part?
I am afraid the main problem is that the sound there is made on USB. Hard to expect loots of options there.
Yeah its USB and it's a gamecom platronic headset and the soundcard is SoundMAX.
The green dot at the bottom is to unmute and mute.
The button next to that is:
Other controls:
[X] AGC
Only 1 box in that window which is the AGC box.
For XP :
Start > control panel > Sound and audio devices > Voice ( tab ). Select SoundMAX Digital Audio under Voice Recording.
Then hit the volume tab under voice recording one.
Wave Out Mix should be there. Select it. If it's not there, then go to options > properties. Select Recording and then make sure Wave Out Mix is checked.
I can't remember on what perspective the input and output is, but make sure the microphone one is either the Primary driver, or soundmax. Don't have it set to the USB, otherwise you'd still be transmitting through the mic instead of transmitting 'what you hear'
I dont have the Stereo Mix on the options > properties recording section and the box is checked.
Logitech USB mics and heaphones dont exactly work too well in conjunction with the soundmax sound system, I have the same problem, just get a regular microphone, or perhaps even get an external sound card and run it all independantly.
