Whenever I use TeamSpeak while playing a game, my computer freezes and nothing responds, including ctrl + alt + del. What's going on!?!?!?!?
I have actually had the problem a lot. I will be playing a game with TS and my computer freezes a good amount of the time. When I don't use it then it never freezes.
I have this problem also.
Running Windows XP Professional, with Service Pack1.
AMD Athlon XP 1800+, with GF4 ti4200.
I have a logitech keyboard/mouse, but don't use their crappy drivers, so have ruled that out.
I have no sound card, but run a Giga-Byte GA7-VRXP with onboard sound - i suspect the sound driver to be the issue.
I can fire up TS2RC2 Client, but within 2 minutes the system will hang, and ctrl-alt-del will not clear it - have to hit the reset button.
(note: this will happen even if i do not connect to any server)
The sound driver being used is the stock MS one .. so i tried download/install of drivers for the onboard sound provided by Giga-byte - BAD MOVE. Completed hung big time, IMMEDIATELY upon firing up TS2 (no more 1-2 minute delay), and even the reset button failed - had to physically power the system down :-(
removed that little sucker real fast.
I've tried altering a number of client settings in TS2 - no change.
In the TS2 Client log:-

I am running firewall software, and ADSL with NAT configured and some ports opened up to let this and a few other select apps work ... i CAN get it running and connected to a server - just not for very long
Any help would be much appreciated .. at a loss right now.

I suspect you ae correct . . Giga-Byte GA7-VRXP, there have been problems with the last several motherboard releases by Giga-byte. Find the latest bios update as well as the latest drivers for your device. If the giga-byte driver provided for the audio device cause more problems locate an actual reference driver from the sound devices manufacturer and not from giga-byte
Thanks for the suggestion - tried the BIOS update - no real difference.
Reference driver ? .. running the creative CT5880 HW sound, and could not find a driver that made a difference - nothing really on the creative sites at all :(
maybe time to invest in a real sound-card.

yea thats what i ment by refernce driver . . . .getting one from your sound devices manufacturer instead of the place you bought your mb from. If thats the case . . . you may want to wait and see if anyone has any other suggestions, but you can get a decent, if not really good, sound card off of ebay for fairly cheap. . . . if you are willing to utilize auctions.
Found it .. Removed the PCI Firewire card - all problems gone - some compatibility issue with MB sound setup .
