ok i have been reading around on the forum , and i see some have same problems as me, but i cant find a solution to it,
my problem is that i connect to a server, but gets disconnected every time after about 15 sec.
i can hear the others loud and clear, and they can hear me, for about 10 sec.
then i get Connection timed out
i have a sonicfury soundcard from videologic,
i use winXP os
have adsl 1024\256 k
i connect through a router, but use DMZ
and i have configured my other software firewall.
any idea's?

i think this is a router / firewall problem... you could test this by connecting without your router...
Maybe it blocks you after a short time of not sending anything...
hope this helps

heres my bug report, if one of you could look it over, and explain what i need to do
i dont have the option on not using the router, so i would appreciate another solution...
i have , put "ip#" instead of the acctual ip adress.

I have just got the main login ports open e.g. default port is tcp 8767 ports and 14534 for remote login to the server (make sure that these are not inuse anywhere else on the router in a block done it myself took me 30 mins to find it.........DOH
I have had a few poeple logging into my server on rc1 and rc2 that have the same problem I have set there machines and firewall up as i have mine the only differance is there isp:confused:
as far as using ip's I log onto my local IP not my external 1 but others on NThell dont have any probs
I have found people that are on demon and bt (on my sever) seem to log out more that any other's but I'm sure that this could be part of the design of it e.g. if there is a lot of packet loss.
good luck :)

On my Lynksys i have got the ports that the server needs, pointing to that server e.g. default is 8767 and set to the local server.
is this a local server ?
make sure that your router is as open as possible to start with and not blocking wan requests. (not sure about this)
the tcp port is both ways on 8767 IF you are on the default port on the server you should know if it is the right port as you log into the server check what is says on the very left lineof the server.
or you can also set up a server on your machine aswell as the client to see if there is a problem going out from your machine
email me direct: clivey@stb-clan.co.uk
good luck
