View Full Version : 2 out of 3 servers keep crashing

We have 3 TS servers running a Windows 2000 server. The server has 7 IP address, but we run all 3 TS servers under the same IP to cut down confussion. The TS servers all run under different ports 8767, 8787, & 8777. The problem that we have is that the 2 & 3 servers keep crashing. The server that is on 8767 never has a problem and is never effected. Any ideas?

uhm, do you run more than one server-instances or do you use one server-process running different servers???

We use 1 server instance running 3 servers.

The 2 crashed again lastnight. It seems that any TS server not on the default port will crash. Is anyone else having this issue? This is the server log entries:

As you can see I had to start 2 of the servers twice during this period.

is it possible that your problems are caused by the web-interface???

perhaps there's some problem with another web-server?

IIS is running, but only for the FTP service. This is a Windows 2000 Terminal Server if that makes any difference. What should I check in IIS that could be causing the problem. I would think it is somthing to do with the ports since only the 2 servers crash.

It seems the webinterface error occurs when I connect to the web admin page for TS.

I deleted the default web site that was created when IIS was installed, but the error continue in the log file when ever I admin the TS server.

These errors don't seem to be effecting the server because I get them everytime I logoff the admin site, and the server doesn't crash that often.

What I find strange is that the log file shows that I restarted the two servers on the 8777 & 8787 ports, but doesn't show where they stopped.

Now today the 8767 server crashed, but the other 2 stayed up. I logged onto the admin site, but it showed the server was running. When I tried to connect to the 8767 server with my TS client it gave an error that no TS server was running. From the admin site I stopped the 8767 server and restarted it. Everything was fine again.
