TS2 & Internet disconnection Problem

I'm not sure if this the same "Disconnection Problem" with a sticky topic in this forum, but I have a weird issue where whenever I have a clan match in BF1942, after about half an hour ingame ill start lagging, and after about 10 seconds TS2 disconnects from the server, shortly followed by my Internet connection dropping me and leaving me unable to reconnect until I reboot.

My Internet never drops me like this unless I'm in a clanmatch and using TS2. So it has to be related to the program. The problem doesnt seem to occur when I'm using TS2 with only about 2 to 4 people in the server, only when theres 8 or more people in there with me.

My internet connection is ADSL and my soundcard is an SBLive 5.1. Though considering that the program is causing me to disconnect from the internet only when there are more people, the problem is probably related to the amount of data TS2 is transmitting.

Also, we used to use TS1 and I dont recall having the problem back then.

Any ideas?

1) is the server on your machine ? Dending of the codec and how much people speak together, 8 people need a lot bandwith.

2) the CELP 5.2 ist exactly the same codec used in TS 1

3) Do you encounter this prob in other games too ? I ask this because BF is a terrible SW. I have rarely played a game with that many bugs.

1) The server is my ISP's TS2 server, they host clan voice rooms by request on the server.

2) We use the GSM 16.4 Kbit Codec.

3) Considering that BF Clanmatches are the only occasions where I ever am ever playing a game and in contact with plenty of people on TS at the same time, I dont really have any means to test this with other games. Soo I dunno if it happens in other games. :P

I have never had this problem running TS and BF1942. You might consider dowloading a prog called MemTurbo from www.download.com and just search for "memtrubo". This helped some of the ppl in my clan regarding the problem you are having.

However, Creative's drivers suck from what I can understand from some other posts on this board, so maybe that's the problem. Try contacting Creative and hear what they have to say about this matter.

You could also contact EA to see if they have any suggestions regarding this problem.

look for the kx project on the board its here. for sb drivers. As for memturbo im sure it can haelp but it can hurt just as much as hep since it is a local memory resident takeing up some of the ram it hsould be cleraing ;)

Just wondering how all this turned out.

I'm having similar problems, but am doubtful if it has anything to do with TS.

I regularly get disconnected from the internet while hosting Falcon4 and using TS. After 30-40 mins or so in game, the game becomes a little laggy, I hear the 'disconnected from server' message from TS and then I lose my internet connection. I never lose the internet connection otherwise.

I have:

10Mb Cable connection (1Mb upload) but only ever use 350Kb bandwidth max
P4 1500mhz
Windows XP Home
512MB SDRAM
Soundmax integrated digital audio soundcard
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5800 video card
ASUSTeK mainboard and chipset

Hope someone can help- its kiling me :-(
