Hello folks-

I am having a problem with TS2 RC2 in that whenever I transmit, I am sending out a large, almost infinite echo. I have tried to adjust the voice activation settings, but this gived little help. Anyone have a suggestion? I am using Soundblaster Live soundcard and plugging my microphone headset into my Creative live front panel.

Thanks!
Gromit

Use push to talk instead. This helped for me when I had the same problem.

Thanks for the idea. I can use the key activation, but I don't want to resign myself to that unless there's no way to fix the voice activation.

Thanks again.

NP man. Just glad to help you out :) I do not know about any other things that might help, but maybe some other board members does. So if the problem continues, just post here again.

trying using a headset. That works as a microphone as well as headphones. That will probably due the trick since you wont be transmiting ausio from your speakers it will be all in the headphones . . . which should keep the mike from picking up the audio from the ear pieces and rid the echo. Understand that this means no more big speakers when you use the headset. The headset are your speakers.

You may also try changing muting your mike in audio playback for your sound card and make sure that it is only recording from your microphone in your sound cards recording setting. If those are ok, try lowering the volume level in of the mike in the recording settings fro your sound device.
