Hi!

When you install the program you should get the password to the admin and superadmin before the setup is complete. After that you should be able to log into the server and start nosing about. It is not very hard. I managed to set my first server up in a few minutes...

Basically

1. Install TS2 Server
2. Write down password for admin and superadmin
3. Start TS2 Server (Unless it is already started)
4. Rightclick on the TS2 Server icon in the systray and choose Administration
5. Log into the server
6. Fix the setting of the server to your liking (total clients basicly)
7. Change the settings for the diffrent users to your liking. I didn't change this a bit, but I don't have a public server either.
8. Create some users that you want to have access to the server. Here you can create your own user as an admin which might be needed in the client later.
9. Log out of the server

Ok, now you have a basic server set up on your computer. From the client you can change stuff like channels, what codecs will be used and so on.

I hope this was of any help

Hi!

Saga: No problem :) It was nice that I could be of any help :)

Giranimo:

I used to get that kind of problem with RC1 when I put the server in my autostart. I don't know why but after doing it my server locked up completely. Anyway. when I removed it from my autostart then it worked nicely again.

I don't know anything about your system but one thing that will block you out of your server is a firewall. I for instance use ZoneAlarm (Behind a hardware firewall) and then when ZoneAlarm decided that. Hey, you don't need any question if you wish to connect to this thing... lets just block you out. Yeeaaa.. Well, then I was stuck untill I told ZoneAlarm to leave my nice little TS2 alone :)

You might use ZoneAlarm or some other firewall that blocks your request (XP built in firewall perhaps). I don't really know if this is a solution to your problem. But it might be a place to start looking.

Good luck!

Hello,
Blocks access you say?
I can not see anything in my ZA Pro "alerts" log.

I enter the userid and password, clicks "login"
the page reloads, and nothing happens, the textboxes in the login page are blanked out.

Two things I noticed is that
1: I have "http://localhost:14534/index.html" in my URL box, but the "Serverport" say "8767"?
2: The index.html page is to post to a file called "login.tscmd"
according to:
<form action="login.tscmd" method="post">

That file does not exist on my computer!

Can someone please help me out here?

[edit ]
Hmm?!
I gave up and tried this from my client computer:
http://ts_server_name:14534/login.html

and, guess if I was surprised when I was logged into the adminpage?

wierd I say, but hey! it works now :)

Taurus: perhaps you used an outdated browser-version???

and yes, it's normal that you don't connect to 8767 with your browser, because this port is for TS-Clients only :)

Yepp, I realized that now :) *bangs my head against the keyboard*

But still:
2: The index.html page is to post to a file called "login.tscmd"
I can not find that file on my client machine either?

Is it possible to use the web-admin interface and not have the TS client installed on that machine?
Can this be the reason to why I can use it from my client computer(that has TS Client installed)?

And, yet another stoopid question, regarding these boards.
I can not see the reply button, only the "post new thread" button
why is that?

I know this thread is a bit old, the only question I have, is how do you "install TS2 server"? After that, I think I can figure it out.

As i said in another thread, this cross-posting is getting you nowhere.
May i remember you that posting here is a privilege, not a right. I don't need to be clairvoyant to tell you if you keep it up one of the moderators will most certainly revoke that privilege.
