I recently downloaded the TS2 server and client, and my buddy downloaded the TS2 client. I start the server up, then open the client and connect to the server. My buddy starts up his client and connects to my server. On my server, it shows both of us connected. When I talk, my buddy can hear me. When he talks, the voice comes out of his speakers, but I can't hear him. By the way, when I talk, my voice does not come through my speakers. We both have the exact same computer, OS, soundcard, and TS2. Both of our computers and connections are the same. What is the deal here? Somebody please help us out.

Most probably your buddy has a wrong soundsetup in the windows sound mixer. The microphones output should be muted. The microphone has to be the only selected source for soundrecording.

Before joining a TS server you can test your settings by

1) Recording your voice with the windows record
2) Doing a loopback test in the Teamspeak client

When both of the tests are successful, TS should work without a problem.

If the problem still exists, setting TS from direct sound to wave might help. Also make sure that TS is on high process priority as this can prevent the voice from becoming choppy when in a game or having other applications running.
