Hi
Im in a clan at the moment and we're thinking about using TS2 as the voice server. The server is hosted by a member who very seldom switches his Comp off. I would like some1 to explain in english how I can access the administration tools of the server remotely. there was another thread that deals with this, but it might as well have been written in chinese!!!! I am reasonably computer literate, so dont treat me as a newbie. but if you could give me a step by step instructions how to access it, that would be GREAT!! :)
cheers
 :D
Its actually quite easy.
What you need is access to the webadmin and and a ServerAdmin account (SuperAdmin accounts provide more options but are not really required)
I assume that the computer on which the TS2 server is hosted, is connected to the internet through a router. Since the server seems to be working fine the corresponding port-forward (udp 8767 default) has already been installed.
The webadmin runs on Port TCP 14534. The router must be setup to forward that port to the server aswell. Next step is the firewall (which i assume is in place as well since the computer is connected to the internet 24/7). The most secure way would be to limit the access on TCP 14534 to the IP of the remote admin only. Yet that is completely up to you.
Last thing which has to be done is to create a new ServerAdmin account for the remote admin.
After that the remote admin should be able to connect to the webadmin of TeamSpeak an set things up as he likes. Maintance of Channels can be done directly with the client while being connected as a ServerAdmin.
I hope that this covers your needs. If not, post again and i'll try to be more specific.
