You may need to take this to the power of windows to adjust the binding order of your Network Cards to have the one that you want to be the IP it uses as the one in the spot your current one is in (whether that's the first, second or third in the binding order).

Not certain, but at least its a guess :)

thanks for the reply. I have 3 ip's and intend on putting 1 server on 1 ip and another server on the other. I just found something interesting, when I hit update ip, it give me a error, thread handle invalid(6). any ideads?

Basically if you are running Windows 2K/XP you should be able to do the following:

Right-click on My Network Places and select Properties (or double-click the Network applet in the control panel)

In there click on ADVANCED and go to ADVANCED SETTINGS

In the Adapters and Bindings section, you should see your 3 NICs listed in order. Rearrange the order to make the NIC that has the IP you wish to use for your primary at the top of the list (or in the position of the NIC that has the IP address of what your TS Server is finding).

Click on OK.

This may require a reboot of the server and at the very least TS Server.

As for it misbehaving on you - I'm just not that familiar with the software and its quirks.. so I'm no good for you there.

Greetings...

I'm having the same problem with my TS Server. I'm running TS Server version 2.0.20.1, on Windows XP Pro, and I've just added a new Gigabit network card. The new GB card is connected to a seperate internal LAN, using a seperate IP scheme, and it not have internet access. I'll be using this NIC for alternate purpose.

I want my TS server to continue using the original 100 card, as it always has, which is connected to the external router (internet).

Since the addition of the new GB card however, my external users can no longer connect to TS. Internal communication works fine. If I disable the new GB card, TS functionality is restored - it works just fine. It seems to me that TS has a preference for the new GB card for some reason, whenever it is enabled.

I've tried binding TS to the original card in the SERVER.INI file, and I've also set External IP Detection to 0. I've set the binding order in Windows XP to prefer the original card as well, as suggested in this thread, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any further ideas? Thanks...
